The Silicone FlexiHand-X Immobiliser has an Aluminium core. This, combined with the surgical grade silicone, provides an well-weighted device, with the malleability of the traditional Lead Hand. The use of Lead is eliminated. The Aluminium core means it is X-Ray compatible (radiolucent), an additional advantage for Surgeon's who need to x-ray during surgery. The FlexiHand-X is very flexible and has a soft-to-touch surface.
